“The rhythm makes you dance instantly. And its repetitive structure can cause a trance-like state. It really opened my mind. It’s a different world, a different universe. I feel connected with the people around me, even when we don’t talk. It also reflects my personality perfectly. I can be explosive but also quiet. You find these two opposites in techno as well.
The best experience I had is when I moved to Berlin. In Berghain. Because of the length of the DJ-sets you forget everything, and you get a very special connection with the DJ. You are in the same space for so long, it’s like a tunnel.
Another beautiful memory was last summer at @whole.festival I will never forget the feeling of togetherness with all those beautiful souls. In the end we are all different but that doesn’t matter. On a party we are all together. I met so many amazing people where I have a very deep connection with, also outside the dancefloor.
Seven years ago, I started DJ-ing in my hometown Brussel. But I was missing something. I was always fascinated by sound, so I decided to start producing my own tracks. It’s therapy as well. I can use all my emotions in my music. That’s what I love most about techno: for a moment I can let go of all my worries and ascend into a different world.”
