“I was 15 when I met the first gays who took me to a techno party in my hometown. It was amazing. The vibe of the bass really made me dance. A techno party was a possibility to meet my friends and have fun. From an early age I wanted to go to the Love Parade in Berlin. But it was only till I was 17 when my parents let me go. It was the most impressive encounter with techno in my life. The people, the music, the city. When I moved to Berlin you had a lot of underground parties going on. That were the real techno parties for me. You entered with a password that you got a few hours before via Facebook or a friend. Nowadays Berlin is still such an openminded city that it really doesn’t matter if you go to a gay, fetish, or queer techno party. There is not really a difference: it’s all the same mood.”
