“I am an energetic person who likes to experience the world of infinity. I think it’s the same with techno music. The combination of emotional synergy on the dancefloor that is what it is about: the feeling of the bass and the vibe with the people on the dancefloor, exchanging eye contact and giving back the same smile, with the same thoughts. So far it has given me friends, unforgettable nights, a favourite hobby and a ribbed body, (joke of course).
My first techno night was sober at Griessmuehle. I didn’t know who was playing or what the club stands for. We ran out of money after ordering our first drink, so we only had our fresh brains and the dancefloor. From that moment I knew, this was not going to be the last time. My best techno experience was being completely alone in Berghain: 15 hours of dancing and going through a lot of thoughts and enjoyments.
In the beginning I didn’t feel free to wear what I want but if you are going to the right parties, you get inspiration, and the people will encourage your looks and style. To first time ravers I would like to say: find the party that suits you! And never stare at people who look ‘different’ from your opinion.
At the moment it feels like a restless waiting game and we are all in it. It’s frustrating but it shows how much we appreciate our hobby. Wait and focus on other things is what is working for me.
I think a lot of people are very unhappy about the way the government acts. They feel left behind and feeling very less prioritized. I also think a lot of people feel more alone than usual. Clubs are for a lot of people a way to meet and get inspired. This is all gone at the moment and has negative effects”
