“When I was younger, I did a trainee as a hairdresser in Hannover. The salon was called ‘Unisex’ and was very openminded. They always played electronic music in the salon. Every month they gave a ‘hairdresser party’. One time they booked Sven Väth. This is the first time I heard techno and I fell for it right away. 

I love and appreciate techno a lot because it connects people together and gives a sense of freedom. It’s unique, free and provides connection, just like me. My most wonderful memory is the first time closing in Berghain. I had such a great time, and the energy of the people was so amazing. I felt it through my whole body. I would say to first time ravers: enjoy the feeling and experience of techno and have respect for others and yourself!”
