Bianca & Rutger

“Techno keeps evolving and reinventing itself, it keeps expanding and stretching its borders by continuously implementing new influences. It also connects people and gives you the feeling that everyone is equal and that you can be who you want to be.

Rutger is a very social person and has good energy. Not a party goes by where people approach him because of his vibe. When I, Bianca, encountered techno for the first time a whole new world opened. I have never experienced this feeling of openness and connectedness. It has helped me a lot in my social development. Before, I preferred to wait and see, but now I feel liberated, and I dare to go my own way.

Over the years, we have met many wonderful people and made lasting friendships, but it has also made us stronger as a couple. Techno has helped us to keep growing because we can enjoy it together. Hedonism, for us, means a certain attitude to life or vision in connection with pleasure. We try to enjoy every free moment together and make lasting memories.

Our recent favorite memory is from last November. We were at Orphic in Club Atelier when we got invited to an afterparty. Once at the after, we saw that D.Dan was there too. Secretly we hoped he would play but he made us wait for the right moment and that wait was rewarded. In the end, he played from 6 a.m to 10 a.m. and the energy was fantastic. He mentioned it himself later in his annual review on Instagram. Everyone who was there is still talking about it.

Unfortunately, too often we see friends leave others to their own fate because they put their own pleasure first and do not want to give it up for a friend who is not feeling well. We believe in going out together and coming home together. It is your duty when someone is not feeling well that you make sure they get home safe. If it is a recurring pattern, then of course there will be a time when you have a serious conversation, but you don't have to judge them.

Try to find the parties that capture the true techno spirit. Dancing is a free expression of the music you hear. There aren’t any good or bad dancers. In the techno community, you can be who you want to be so you can show who you are. In that sense, it is an echo of your essence.”
